In Memory of

Old Glory
The flag was painted on these trees for a local resident. It is in memory of ten of his friends who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. They were having breakfast in the Windows on the World Restaurant in the World Trade Center.
This photo is my best seller. It has been purchased to be given as a gift to someone serving or has served our country. It is also popular to hang in an office.  To read more about Old Glory, click here.

Old Glory in the Fall
On September 8th, 2007, a memorial service was held for those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. Old Glory took its stand amoung those who attended. Leading the service was a local unit of Korean War Veterans. It was a very moving ceremony with several dignitaries present. I found out after the ceremony that even President Bush was invited, but due to his hectic schedule he was unable to attend. Proclamations from Governor M. Jodi  Rell and Senator Joseph Lieberman were read during the ceremony. It was a priveledge to attend such a heartwarming ceremony.

Old Glory in the Winter
This was taken after the first really good snow fall of the season. I knew when I woke up that morning that I had to get out as soon as the roads were clear to get this shot. The snow had just stopped falling when I arrived at the site. The lighting was perfect! As I was getting ready to take the picture another woman joined me. She said she had also been waiting for the perfect snow fall. I hope her pictures came out as beautiful as mine did.

Please take a moment to remember our troops
as they protect us.
